The Queen has met thousands of wellwishers at an informal walkabout in Windsor, on her 80th birthday.

As a loyal subject of the Queen and the Crown, I wish Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II Happy Birthday. And may she continue to reign for as long as she feels able to.

God save the Queen.

A tabloid reporter has been arrested at Buckingham Palace on suspicion of falsifying details on a job application, Scotland Yard has said.

I think this serves her right. Hope she gets charged. It’s disgusting the way the British tabloid press (I’m mainly looking at you, you, you and you) think they’re perfectly justified in breaking the law of the land just to sell papers or, as they would say, ‘highlight an issue of obvious public interest’.

The court should throw the book at her and ignore any whinging that emanates from Wapping.

Nice little Royal Family jibe.

Well, the Royal wedding is today. I’m not sure I’ll be tuning in to watch it. I’m sure a lot of people might but I’m not particularly interested, personally.

However, for those that are interested it will be on:

  • BBC ONE: The Royal Wedding: Charles and Camilla (12:00-15:30)
  • ITV1: Charles and Camilla - The Royal Wedding (14:00-15:45)
  • BBC News 24: BBC News Special (12:00-16:00)

And presumably there will be coverage on Sky News as well.

I’d rather be looking at the General Election campaign - where are the manifestos? Where are the politicial leaders? Why are they hiding away from us? The people elect the Government, not the Government’s mates. At least that’s what I believe.
